Say you had the choice to own two generations of the same car. Money is not a problem and you can afford whatever two generations you like best. I'd have to go with the Dodge Challengers. If not the the Challengers, I'd most likely be in a pair of Fiat 500's. What would you guys choose? Porsche 911s? Camaros? Mustangs? SO MANY OPTIONS.

What specific generations would you choose?

Gotta go with the Bavarian boy wonder: the M3
Though, I guess it really should be an E30 and E92 since it's the M4 now, but technicalities.
![]() 03/24/2015 at 14:36 |

1st and 5th gen Celica, provided the 5th gen is an alltrac....
OR
those Fiat's you posted up there.

Easy.
and
![]() 03/24/2015 at 14:37 |

Oooh, very good choices.
![]() 03/24/2015 at 14:40 |

A-body Elco 454 SS and Maloo R8 Ute.
![]() 03/24/2015 at 14:40 |

MK2 GTi rally car, because light, small, and simple.
MK7 for a nice comfy daily driver
and i've always thought It'd be cool to own one of every gen Civic. I'll probly eventually do it just not all at once.
![]() 03/24/2015 at 14:40 |

Hot damn, great choices. I always forget about the Celica all trac. They seem like super fun little cars.

UTE! I like it.

1969 Charger for weekend cruise, because JUST LOOK AT IT:
And Charger Hellcat for the weekdays, because I need a four-door with enough power to pass on the freeway:

can I bend the rules a bit. I'll take two generations of GM's smallest sportscar
![]() 03/24/2015 at 14:44 |

I'd do Audi S8's too
![]() 03/24/2015 at 14:45 |

Well to be honest, the Hellcat looks great, but I'm not sold on the regular Charger...
I got one this week, and I just can't get myself to like it. it's missing a certain
je ne sais quoi
.

I actually almost did this with my 68 Montego and the modern 2000's Montego hahaha.
I think I'd have to go with if we're doing modern in production:
Boss 429:
Shelby GT350:
Two Crazy Ass Mustangs.
![]() 03/24/2015 at 14:50 |

That's a stretch, but I find the Fiero to be a hilarious little car so I'll let it slide this time.

I think it would look better if the section below the grill/headlights was painted body color instead of black.

Aston Martin Vantage
Yup Twin Superchargers for 600HP
and a V12 for good measure.

Early 90s Dodge Ram Cummins and a current gen Ram 1500 Hemi.

this is better than the twin GTIs I picked.
![]() 03/24/2015 at 14:52 |

yes exactly, that's the main difference from the Hellcat.
Some kind of subtle hood scoops would be good also.

to who? the whole point of classics is that they're desirable or memorable. nobody gave a shit about the impala in the 90s, nobody will give a shit about the impala in 2040.

hmm....good question.
I dont get having multiple cars that do that same thing...so I want something that the 2 generations are almost totally different. but at the same time, what is old enough to do that? and what, of those, do I actually like?
son-of-a-gun, this is actually really hard.
I asked my room mate...he said the jeep wrangler. after some consideration
for me...DAM this is hard. Id do the porsche 911 IF the old one can be reworked by singer.
if not...hmm......
maybe the S4. A B5 and a B8. one crazy ass built TT strip monster and a DD
![]() 03/24/2015 at 15:08 |

sounds mean as hell.
I get the ecoboost in the new Ford GT
I don't get why the Flat Plane isn't in it though.

That's a huge jump in power lol. In the same vein, I think I'd want to do an E46 M3 to E92 M3 comparo. Or maybe an E39 M5 to F10 M5. That'd be really interesting.
